ACT Seasonal Antique and Collectable Fair

Red Dove Preloved

Next monthly Red Dove preloved clothing opening Thursday 3 to Saturday 5 August 9am-1pm at Tuggeranong Uniting Church, Comrie St, Wanniassa. Conder Craft Group

Our group meets on the first Thursday of each month 1-3pm at YWCA Mura Lanyon Community Centre, Sydney Nolan Street, Conder. New members always welcome. Come along with your sewing, knitting or those projects you have always wanted to complete. Cost: $3. More info: call 6294 6201.

CWA

Canberra Branch: We are hosting our International Lunch on Friday 4 August 1pm in our rooms at 8 Barry Drive, Civic. Food from the PNG region. Queanbeyan Evening: Our next meeting is on Tuesday 8 August 6.30pm in Nonna’s Kitchen at Campbell & George, Queanbeyan. Dinner prior to the meeting from 6pm. The CWA aims to improve conditions for country women and children. Canberra Blues Society celebrates the 11th International Blues Music Day with nine local and interstate acts, a hot rod display and specialty market stalls on Saturday 5 August at Harmonie German Club, Narrabundah. Christ Church Hawker Coffee/Op Shop

Probus Club

Narrabundah: Our club meets at the Harmonie German Club, in Jerrabomberra Avenue, Narrabundah on the 2nd Tuesday each month; next meeting is on 8 August 11am. Guest speaker: Kim Adam, CEO of Canberra legal service firm, MV Law, speaking on the importance of wills and of understanding retirement village contracts. Members usually enjoy lunch afterwards in the bistro and visitors are always welcome. Anyone with an interest is invited to just come along. Ngunnawal Combined: We hold our monthly general meeting on the fourth Monday of the month 10.30am, at Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club. Next meeting 28 August. Following the meeting, we usually have interesting guest speakers covering a wide range of topics, and enjoy lunch at the Lakes restaurant afterwards.
