GIVIT donation of the week: Blankets

A long running organisation that supports those living at risk of homelessness from all different backgrounds and ethnicities is in need of blankets to distribute to their over 100 clients. The organisation supports people overcoming mental illness, addictions, health struggles, disability or a combination of these. With limited resources for the organisation to purchase Items for distribution, they rely heavily on the generosity of the community. Any spare blankets that can be donated to make a difference in these individuals’ lives will be greatly appreciated. A good night’s sleep will lead to a more promising tomorrow. Delivery options: Items can be picked up by or dropped off to the charity. To donate, visit givit.org.au/items-needed, search ‘blanket’ and select requests located in ACT. After you pledge the item, you will be contacted by the relevant charity to arrange pick-up, post or drop-off. GIVIT supports over 300 charities across the Capital Region by matching your quality, pre-loved items with people who need them most.
