Folk Dance Canberra Beginner World Dance Classes

Travel the world of exotic music and dance from the safety of Canberra with Folk Dance Canberra. Suitable for all ages, and all levels of dance experience, Beginner classes offer a pathway into dance cultures across the globe. Folk Dance Canberra is a welcoming community providing physical and social wellbeing through world dance, no partner necessary (socially-distanced, Covid-safe dancing). Braidwood Book Fair

VIEW Club meetings

VIEW Clubs of Australia (VIEW) offers a network for women to connect with one another in the community, while supporting the work of The Smith Family in providing long-term educational support for Australian children and young people in need through their Learning for Life Program. 

Weston Creek: Next meeting is on Tuesday 2 February 11.30am at Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden. Guest speaker is Nip Wijewickrema from GG’s Flowers. Cost: $30 for two-course lunch. RSVP to Barbara on 6286 4626 by Thursday 28 January 5pm.

Strum for fun ukulele group

Do you want to learn to play a new instrument? Playing the ukulele in a group setting can be truly rewarding. Community Services #1 ‘Strum for Fun Ukulele Group’ is a friendly group that welcomes players of all levels. They meet weekly at the Community Services#1 hall in Narrabundah on Tuesdays 10.30am-1.30pm. New participants are always welcome. Gungahlin Community Sports and Recreation Fair

Northside Community Service and over 20 Gungahlin sporting and recreation clubs will host the fourth Gungahlin Community Sports and Recreation Fair atAmaroo Oval on Friday 12 February 3.30-7.30pm. The fair will provide the opportunity for local sporting organisations to showcase their programs for families and community members. Interactive showcases include hockey, jump-rope, AFL, NRL, league, touch football, Tae Kwan Do, Aus-Tag, Ultimate Frisbee, Little Athletics, Senior Athletics, BMX racing, and more. LJ Hooker Gungahlin are providing a sausage sizzle, and there will be plenty of prizes up for grabs.
