ACT Policing reports that a man sought in relation to a one-punch assault that occurred in Civic on 24 September handed himself into police today, Friday 6 October. 

3 October: ACT Policing has released an image of a man believed to have committed a one-punch assault in Civic on Sunday 24 September.

About 2am, police allege the man assaulted another man outside the 88mph nightclub.

The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of the assault, and was subsequently transported to hospital.

The alleged offender is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, with a medium build, dark hair, and a beard. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark pants, and a black satchel bag at the time of the incident.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the alleged assault outside the venue, or who may have information regarding the incident.

There may have also been a prior altercation between the victim and the alleged offender inside the venue. Police would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed this altercation.
