The South Jerrabomberra Innovation Precinct is set to be home to a technology and industrial park, an innovation hub, a regional sports facility and Jerrabomberra High School.
NSW Deputy Premier and Member for Monaro John Barilaro recently announced a $23 million investment by the NSW Government into the project, which “has the potential to deliver up to 5,000 highly skilled jobs for locals”.
Mr Barilaro said the investment will allow Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC) to begin work on the access road and essential gas, lighting, water, sewerage and fibre optic connections to the precinct.
QPRC Mayor Tim Overall welcomed news of the funding and said Council will also contribute more than $8 million to the project.
