Recycled textiles
Sheridan has launched a tea towel made of recycled yarns. The ReThread Tea Towel (pictured) is crafted from recycled cotton and polyester fibres, helping to divert textile waste from landfill. The homewares brand has also extended its recycling program across all 56 of its factory outlet stores, after the ongoing success of the program since its boutique store launch in February. The program, which encourages customers to return pre-loved bed linen and towels, has collected over 3,150kg of textiles, which is broken down into recycled cotton and repurposed into new products.

Bushfire safety and pets
PetSafe Brand Australia is urging all pet owners to ensure they have included their pet’s needs when creating their bushfire safety plans. They have pulled together a four step easy to follow checklist for your pets should you need to evacuate your home which includes: Know where your pets are; prepare your emergency pet kit. This should include items such as fresh water bottles, dry pet food, blankets for warmth and bedding, and any vaccinations or medications if required; know your exit strategy; and keep connected.
