A 27-year-old Isabella Plains woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with multiple offences following an incident at a residence in Monash yesterday afternoon.
About 5.15pm yesterday (Sunday, 31 March 2024), police responded to reports that the woman had attended a residence in Monash, believed to be known to her, and assaulted one of the occupants with a tyre iron.
It will be further alleged that, as the woman was leaving the residence, she committed property damage to a vehicle belonging to one of the occupants and took their dog without consent.
A short time later, police attended the woman’s residence in Isabella Plains and placed her under arrest.
At this time, it is alleged the woman ran away in an attempt to evade police, and when police caught up with her moments later, she allegedly spat on a police officer.
The woman has been charged with aggravated robbery, damaging property, aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of aggravated common assault, trespass, possess offensive weapon with intent, attempt to escape lawful custody, assault frontline worker, and resist arrest.
