Kendra Healing Arts: What better time than now to build inner resilience

At a time when anxiety is being felt worldwide and we are all having to adapt, Kendra Boone offers trauma-sensitive wellness retreats that provide Canberrans a space to explore deeper levels of ‘Self’, reconnect with peace and find emotional freedom.

Tell us about your career path. What led you to where you are now?

“I have been a mind-body therapist since 1998, and have become the first Yoga Therapist in Canberra with a special interest in trauma-sensitive wellness retreats and private clinical practice.

“With a deep realisation of the world’s rising mental health crisis and the need for evidence-based yoga spaces, I created local wellness retreats that are accessible and safe for those with mental health challenges.

“People seeking an integrated, individualized approach can book directly for bodywork, bespoke self-care yoga practice all of which are trauma sensitive.”

Where to from here?

“I have a retreat offering that is now available for booking for February: a three-day self-compassion journey, at the gorgeous Murrah Dream Retreat centre. Set on 25 acres of pristine bush and beach on the Sapphire Coast near Bermagui, participants will have daily, accessible trauma-sensitive yoga including meditation, wholefoods, grounding in nature, reconnecting with self and connecting with like-minded community.”
