Today, 23 ACT residents in 17 vehicles returned home by road from the Victorian border at Wodonga, bringing to 120 the total number of Canberrans returning during the five-day window allowed by the NSW Government.
Today’s travellers were the last ACT residents with an Entry Authorisation Certificate issued by the ACT Chief Health Officer who were permitted to cross the NSW/Victorian border between 13 and 17 August (inclusive). They left between 9am and 11.30am today and arrived at the reception centre in Hall by 3pm. They were required to follow the special travel rules, which included only one designated rest stop near Gundagai NSW.
Yesterday, another 35 ACT residents returned from Victoria by road, travelling in 25 vehicles. They followed the first group of 29 people travelling from Wodonga in 17 vehicles on Thursday 13 August; 11 ACT residents in nine vehicles on Friday; and 22 residents in 20 vehicles on Saturday.
Returning residents immediately began 14 days quarantine and are being supported by ACT Health during this time.
ACT Health reminds any Canberrans still in Victoria of the requirement to notify ACT Health before returning to the ACT.
From today, Canberrans will only be able to fly into the Territory.

No new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the ACT overnight and there are no active cases.
