Lifeline Canberra seeking Women of Spirit nominations

Lifeline Canberra is continuing their commitment to highlighting and recognising incredible women in our community, by calling on Canberrans to help them uncover Women of Spirit – inspirational women who have faced adversity and have found within them the strength, not just to persevere, but to give others a helping hand.

On Wednesday 18 August, Lifeline Canberra will shine a light on these incredible women and acknowledge their contributions to our community.

Lifeline Canberra is calling on you to let them know who the inspirational women in your life are. They are seeking nominations in two categories – the Women of Spirit Award and the Rising Women of Spirit Award.

Nominations close on Thursday 12 August 2021; nominate at www.lifelinecanberra.org.au

We are thrilled to announce this year’s Women’s of Spirit Awards guest speaker will be the incredible Michelle Mitchell. A Canberra local mum of two, author of Girl Got Game, podcast host at Franki & Michelle, CEO at Ms Michelle Mitchell, blogger at Glamor Hippie and the list just keeps going on. She is one fiercely inspirational woman who we can’t wait to share with the room.

Our aim for this year’s event is to inspire and showcase the many inspirational, strong and courageous women of the Canberra community, who go above and beyond to think outside the box to help and guide others requiring support.

In 2019, Joan Anderson took out the Women of Spirt Award, her story being of a colourful background growing up within a cult. Bonnie Carter was presented the Rising Women of Spirit Award, an advocate for infant loss awareness after her own personal journey suffering loss, accepting her award on behalf of bereaved parents and for her daughters who never made it home.

Thanks to Icon Water, Club Lime and the Canberra Outlet Centre who are sponsoring the 2021 awards.
