Charlie Camus wins first round match at Canberra Pro Tour

Local promising tennis junior Charlie Camus has won his first round match at the Canberra Pro Tour #1 against Blake Bayldon in straight sets.

Camus won the match 6-3 6-4 to book his spot in the second round where he will face Dane Sweeney.

Previous: The Canberra Pro Tour #1 kics off today at the Canberra Tennis Centre and features a host of the world’s top players as they continue their summer of tennis campaign in the nation’s capital.

Camus will join a competitive men’s draw including the top three seeds Akira Santillan, Dane Sweeny and Li Tu.

ACT player Annerly Poulos has also gained a Wildcard into the women’s main draw which features top seed Arina Rodionova as well as Daria Gavrilova, Jaimee Fourlis and Priscilla Hon.

Entry for the Canberra public is free.
