Lunchtime Christmas Market makes it even easier to plan your feast

What’s better than two opportunities to shop for the best and freshest Christmas foods?

Three!

The Capital Region Farmers Market has two regular Saturday morning Markets on between now and the big day, on Saturdays 11 and 18 December, and in fabulous news for those planning a Christmas feast using local and region produce, they have added an additional Christmas Market. This one’s a lunchtime Market aimed at making Christmas food shopping even easier.

Taking place on Thursday 23 December, the Christmas Market is the best way to stock up for Christmas Day foods and is your last chance to get super fresh produce to fill your fridges, pantry, fruit bowls and tables to enjoy with friends and family.

The Market will take place from 10.30am to 1.30pm and around 50 stallholders are expected with fresh vegetables and all the delicious summer fruits including cherries, nectarines, apricots, peaches and strawberries. Plus, there will be dairy and cheeses, bread and some seriously yummy baked treats including festive fruit tarts and fruit-laden Christmas puddings.

Fresh staples to sustain you throughout the Christmas/New Year period include eggs, honey, fresh pasta, poultry and beef. Time to get menu planning!

And of course, the final two regular Saturday markets will offer all this and more with fresh Christmas hams, seafood and some really unique and interesting Christmas food offerings. Like Greek Sweet Gift boxes from Sweet Ama’lia for the sweet lovers, and herb crusted beef rib rack from Claystone Meats – perfect for summer barbecues.

Capital Region Farmers Market is open on Saturday 11 and Saturday 18 December, from 7am to 11.30am. The additional Christmas Market will be open Thursday 23 December 10.30am to 1.30pm. For more information and to see which producers are attending when, visit www.capitalregionfarmersmarket.com.au
