Offering a comprehensive nutrition solution for your tiny human, Gobble Guts is a Canberra-based baby and toddler meal delivery service providing healthy, delicious, nutritionist-designed food. Gobble Guts was started by Katie and Sam Croser in mid-April and since that time they have been overwhelmed by the community uptake and positive feedback they have received.
Parents to two children under three, Katie says when their second child arrived, they found themselves time poor, but still wanting to provide healthy and nutritious meals. After looking at baby and toddler meals in the supermarket and online, the couple wasn’t satisfied with the options available to them – and Gobble Guts was born. With the creation of Gobble Guts, Katie and Sam also hope to free up your time so you can spend it with your little ones.
Teaming up with a nutritionist, they have created a menu that supports healthy growth and development for infants over six months old through to toddlerhood. Gobble Guts meals are plant-based, all natural, and free from the eight common allergens – milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soy. The meals are also gluten-free and contain no added sugars, additives or preservatives. “We only offer real food,” Katie says.
Gobble Guts believes in the importance of gut health at any age, so all their meals contain ingredients that support digestive health and a flourishing microbiome.
Currently, parents and carers can choose from eight main meals and four breakfast options. Katie says the menu is designed to give children “exposure to as many different flavours and textures from as early as possible to help try and reduce the likelihood of them becoming a fussy eater later in life”. Gobble Guts uses over 50 ingredients across its 12 meals. Some of the ingredients include okra, persimmons and herbs and spices like cumin, turmeric and cinnamon.
The fresh produce for the meals is sourced locally and meals are flash frozen to preserve the nutrients. Gobble Guts meals come chopped, however they can be pureed or mashed to suit your child’s stage of development.
