Kylie launched Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Canberra in 2021, driven by a deep passion for empowering locals to live independently in their own home, on their own terms as they age or navigate life with a disability.

“This is more than a business to me – it’s a legacy of love, family, and care,” she explains.

Jacinta, Kylie’s daughter, joined the business last year, bringing her own passion for health and community-focused care. Together, they’ve grown to a dedicated team of over 70 qualified caregivers and nurses who are providing care and support to more than 80 clients across the region.

The recent expansion into Batemans Bay marks an exciting milestone for Kylie and Jacinta. This new location allows them to extend their compassionate care to more locals, ensuring older Australians and those living with disabilities can remain connected to their loved ones and the community, while staying in the comfort of their own home for as long as they choose.

Nurse Next Door is proud to now be a Government-Approved Home Care Package (HCP) Provider, giving individuals aged 65 and over access to flexible funding for essential services through the HCP program. This initiative empowers older Australians to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life at home.

Unlike many providers, Nurse Next Door’s ‘Less Fees, More Care’ approach offers a capped 10% all-inclusive package management fee with no care management, setup, or exit fees, ensuring more funding is available to put toward the services recipients truly need.
