A 34-year-old Calwell man whose bail conditions included not to drive a motor vehicle was arrested by ACT Policing yesterday for multiple driving offences.
Police will allege the man was involved in a ’road rage’ incident on Athllon Drive, Wanniassa about 8.30pm on Monday 25 October, where another driver was verbally abused and had the keys to their car stolen.
It will also be alleged police officers observed the man driving on London Circuit and Theatre Lane on the morning of Thursday 29 November, before parking his car and walking across Northbourne Avenue.
Police observed the man return to his vehicle that afternoon, and will further allege when the man was directed to stop that he failed to do so, driving away on the wrong side of the road and proceeding through a red light.
On Monday afternoon, police arrested the man in Knowles Place, Canberra City.
The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today, 30 November, on three counts of driving while disqualified, failing to stop a motor vehicle for police, dangerous driving, and using an unregistered vehicle.
