A 26-year-old Calwell man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with stalking following an intentional collision in Monash yesterday, Wednesday 26 August.
The collision occurred after the man approached a female, a former work colleague of the man, at an Isabella Plains workplace while in the possession of a large knife. The female and a work colleague left in two vehicles.
The man followed the two females in his own vehicle through Isabella Plains and Monash. When the two females stopped at a set of traffic lights, the man intentionally collided with their vehicles, heavily damaging and immobilising all three vehicles, and damaging a fourth vehicle.
Police attended the scene of the collision and seized two large knives from the man’s vehicle, and arrested the man.
The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today, Thursday 27 August, on possession of an offensive weapon, stalking and use of an offensive weapon dangerous to a person.
Bail will be opposed, and police anticipate laying further charges regarding the collision once investigations have concluded.

Man to face court over Red Hill burglaries
Police yesterday also arrested a 28-year-old Spence man in connection with two burglaries in Red Hill.
The man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today to face a range of charges including firearm and burglary offences.
ACT Policing will allege the man entered a home in Red Hill about 7.15am yesterday.
The man took a number of items from the home and attempted to steal a black Mercedes before fleeing the scene on foot after being confronted by the car’s owner.
About 8.40am police received a further report of a man in the backyard of a nearby residence.
Officers pursued the man on foot before arresting him. During the arrest it was discovered the man was carrying a small replica pistol.
The man will face court charged with:
- Unauthorised possession of a prohibited firearm
- Aggravated burglary – intent to commit theft (two counts)
- Going equipped for theft
- Unlawful possession of stolen property
- Breach of good behaviour obligation.
Police will oppose bail.
