Man dies after trucks collide near Gunning

A man has tragically died after two trucks collided near Gunning late on Friday night, 13 December.

Emergency services were called to the Hume Highway near Cullerin, approximately 5km east of Gunning, around 11:15pm on Friday, following reports of the crash.

The driver of one truck, a man believed to be in his 40s, sadly died at the scene. His identity has not yet been formally confirmed. The second truck’s driver, a 25-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and investigations into the cause of the crash are underway. A report will be prepared for the coroner.

The Hume Highway remains closed eastbound between Gunning and Cullerin, with diversions in place. Westbound lanes are unaffected. Motorists are advised to check Live Traffic NSW for updates, as the eastbound closure is expected to last several hours.
