Man dies in single-vehicle crash near Goulburn

A man believed to be in his 80s has died following a single-vehicle crash north of Goulburn this afternoon.

Just after 1pm, Wednesday 24 July, emergency services were called to Taralgo Road at Tarlo, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

For reasons still under investigation, a white Mitsubishi and trailer left the roadway and struck a tree.

Despite the efforts of first responders, a passenger in the vehicle, the man believed to be in his 80s, was unable to be revived.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

As inquiries continue, anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is urged to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
