A 23-year-old Evatt man will face court today, 10 November, charged with several traffic offences.
Police were conducting routine patrols in Bruce when they came across a four-car collision at the intersection of Ginninderra Drive and Aikman Drive around 2.15pm yesterday.
Witnesses described a blue Toyota Camry collided with the four vehicles before driving off from the scene.
Emergency services were required to free the driver of one car while a second driver was taken to hospital for assessment.
Around 4.35pm police responded to reports of a single car collision in Florey where they found the blue Toyota had hit a fence.
The driver once again fled the scene; however, was apprehended shortly after when police located the man walking along Ennor Close.
The man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with Unlicenced driving; Drug driving; Not stop and give assistance; failing to stop and give particulars to the other driver after a collision and arrest without warrant for breaching good behaviour obligations.
