Man in his 40s dies, ACT records 1014 new COVID cases

The ACT has recorded 1,014 new COVID cases and one death in the latest update.

The death is of a man in his 40s and ACT Health did not provide information on his vaccination status or any underlying health issues.

It takes the ACT’s COVID-19 death toll to 42 since the start of the pandemic from 78,696 total cases.

There are currently 46 people in hospital with the virus, two are in intensive care with one requiring ventilation.

There are now 5,977 active infections in the ACT.
