Man in his 80s dies, 1200 new COVID cases in the ACT

The ACT has recorded 1,200 new COVID cases and one virus-related death in the latest update.

The death is of a man in his 80s and takes the ACT’s COVID death toll to 44 since the start of the pandemic from 85,177 total cases.

There are now 55 people in hospital with the virus, three are in intensive care with two requiring ventilation.

The number of active cases in the ACT is not 5,824.

  • Aged 5-11 (1 dose): 80.5 per cent
  • Aged 5-11 (2 doses): 58.7 per cent
  • Aged 5+ (2 doses): 96.4 per cent
  • Aged 16+ (3 doses): 73.9 per cent
