Man responsible for $30,000 fraud across Canberra Bunnings stores

ACT Policing is seeking to identify a man believed to be responsible for approximately $30,000 worth of fraudulent transactions at multiple Bunnings Warehouse stores.

Police allege that on Friday 22 September, Saturday 23 September and Saturday 28 September, the man has entered Bunnings stores in Majura Park, Gungahlin, Fyshwick, Belconnen and Tuggeranong.  

At the stores he has allegedly fraudulently gained access to two business accounts and has used these accounts to purchase more than $30,000 worth of tools and equipment.  

The man was driving a white MG with Victorian registration of IYD 4KW. This vehicle had also allegedly been hired using fraudulent details.  

Police are releasing images of the man today, Friday 13 October, and are seeking public assistance in identifying him.
