Man stabbed in Franklin road rage incident

ACT Policing is appealing for witnesses to a reported road rage incident in Franklin, which resulted in a man being stabbed.

The incident allegedly took place between 1:45 pm and 2:10 pm on Sunday, 15 September, when a blue Subaru SUV reportedly followed a black Mitsubishi Lancer on Flemington Road, Mitchell.

Police believe the drivers of both vehicles interacted while heading north on Flemington Road, eventually stopping at Nullarbor Avenue, Franklin.

Both men exited their vehicles, and during a reported altercation, the driver of the Mitsubishi was stabbed in the chest.

The victim was later driven to the hospital, and police were notified of the incident.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the interactions between the two cars, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of the vehicles travelling along Flemington Road to Franklin.
