Man taken to Canberra Hospital after city assault

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a serious assault in the City yesterday, 13 November, that left a man in hospital.

About 7.30pm police received reports of a man who had been assaulted in the City Bus Interchange. On arrival, police located a man with serious injuries to his face, chest and back.

Following the assault, the victim was transported to The Canberra Hospital.

A 28-year-old Queensland man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray in relation to this matter.

Police have spoken to some of the witnesses present, however are seeking further witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.
