Man to face court charged over stalking and acts of indecency

A 26-year-old man from Warri, NSW will face the ACT Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 16 December, charged with multiple counts of stalking and acts of indecency.

ACT Policing allege that between 28 October and 2 November, the offender committed acts of indecency in shopping centres in Greenway, Fyshwick, and Canberra City.

Police also allege that the offender also returned to the scene of two incidents, loitered in the stores and harassed staff.

Following a police investigation, the man was arrested about 6.15pm yesterday, Tuesday 15 December) in Gowrie.

He has been charged with 11 counts of act of indecency without consent, and two counts of stalking.

Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted the investigation by helping to identify the offender.
