Matildas to hold free fan day in Canberra this Sunday

Canberra football fans will get a chance to see their favourite Australian female players with the Matildas to hold a free Fan Day this Sunday 10 April at Viking Park.

Football fans will be able to watch the Matildas train from 10am followed by a player signing session, where gates open at 9.30am.

The Matildas will train ahead of the Young Matildas arriving for their match against the New Zealand Junior Football Ferns. This is the second encounter of their two-match international series – which is free for all to attend – and kicks off at 2pm.

Fans can also get involved in a series of free activities including face painting and football skills sessions run by Capital Football

Members of rebel’s loyalty program, rebel active, can also enjoy player appearances and refreshments at the rebel VIP tent at this Sunday’s free Fan Day.

This Fan Day is all thanks to the Commonwealth Bank and ACT Government ahead of the nation’s capital hosting the Matildas football international against the New Zealand Football Ferns at GIO Stadium on Tuesday 12 April, kick-off 7.45pm.
