UPDATE: Missing Canberra child Summer Roche found

UPDATE: The missing nine-year-old has been found safe and well, ACT Policing advised at 11.18am today.


ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate missing nine-year-old girl Summer Roche, who was last seen in Florey last night. 

Summer has not been seen or heard from since 7.30pm on Wednesday 4 May 2022 and was reported as missing by her mother after being last seen in Florey. 

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 140cm (4’6”) tall, with long dark brown hair (with a purple tint), brown eyes, a left side nose ring and is of slim build.  

She was last seen wearing a long sleeve black Adidas branded shirt, camouflage Adidas tracksuit pants and white Nike shoes. 

Police (and family) hold concerns for Summer’s mental health and welfare. 

Summer knows how to utilise the Belconnen bus route and knows her way around Belconnen Mall and Florey Shops.  

ACT Policing are requesting the public’s assistance in locating her.  

Anyone who may have any information that could assist police in locating Summer is urged to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444. Please quote reference number 7101169.
