ACT Policing and the NSW Police Force have confirmed that missing Canberra teenager Nate Palmer has been found safe and well.
“Great news! A 16-year-old boy reported missing from Canberra on September 19, 2024, has been found safe. Police would like to thank the community and the media for their assistance,” a statement from NSW Police read.
Nate was last seen at his home in Isabella Plains where he lives with his mother at about 10pm on Thursday 19 September. It is believed he caught a train from Canberra to Sydney the next morning without his parents’ knowledge.
Nate was then spotted on CCTV footage at Cockle Bay Wharf, Kings Cross and George Street in the early hours of Saturday 21 September. His family spent the weekend handing out missing posters in central Sydney.
Nate’s family released a short statement on Facebook confirming he had been found.
“Thank you so much everyone. We have just been told he has been found and is safe. We are so grateful for all the support.“
