Motorcyclist is 4th fatality on ACT roads for 2020

A man has died following a collision on Ashley Drive in Monash between a motorcycle and a truck earlier today, Sunday 6 September. His death is the fourth fatality on ACT roads for 2020.

About 11.40am today, ACT Policing was called to the collision in the northbound lane near Barraclough Drive.

The motorcycle rider was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics, however, died at hospital.

Ashley Drive was closed for a number of hours while investigations were carried out and police thanked road users for their patience during this time.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

The families have asked for their privacy to be respected and no further details will be provided.
