Mulligans Flat to be searched for fresh evidence in Jean Policarpio case

A large area of the Mulligans Flat Reserve will be searched this weekend, 13-14 August, as the investigation into the disappearance of Bonner man Jean Policarpio in 2017 continues.

ACT Policing and members of the ACT State Emergency Service (SES) will conduct the search, with more than 50 people expected to be involved between 7am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. The area to be searched will be the nature reserve between the suburbs of Bonner and the New South Wales border.

Mr Policarpio has not been seen since leaving his family home in Bonner on 26 September 2017.

The police investigation into Mr Policarpio’s disappearance remains active, as do all unsolved missing persons cases in the ACT.

This search will be a concentrated effort to locate fresh evidence in the matter after police re-examined all information available in the case.

Mr Policarpio’s family is aware the search is taking place this weekend.

Anyone with information in relation to Jean’s whereabouts, or any unsolved missing persons case, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6158285 regarding Mr Policarpio.
