Multicultural Festival in Bungendore and Queanbeyan

Bungendore will hold its first multicultural festival in February.

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and the Queanbeyan Multicultural Centre will host a celebration of culture in Bungendore for the first time, thanks to a Reconnecting Regional NSW grant.

The Bungendore Multicultural Festival will be held on 5 February, a month before the Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival on 5 March.

Known for its culturally packed program featuring live performances, community activities, international cuisine, and unique stalls, the Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival has grown year-on-year.

โ€œWe are excited to be holding two events this year to celebrate our vibrant multicultural community,โ€ said Mayor Kenrick Winchester.

โ€œThe Queanbeyan festival is one of our most popular events. Hopefully its reputation as a great family event will also attract people from around the region and from all backgrounds to the new event in Bungendore.

โ€œBungendore has a really tight-knit community, and our events team is working closely with local groups out there to make this event a winner.โ€

Entertainers, stallholders, and other volunteers can apply to be part of both the Queanbeyan and Bungendore events via www.qprc.nsw.gov.au/Community/Events.

More information will be available closer to each event.
