The National Disability Insurance Scheme is a federal government scheme that helps to fund costs associated with disability. By 2026, the NDIS is expected to provide around 500,000 Australians, aged under 65, who have permanent and significant disability with funding for supports and services. Read on to find out how the advertisers in this special NDIS feature can assist people with disability in the ACT.
PPA provides better NDIS accommodation
One of the key objectives of the NDIS is to provide better accommodation for PWD (People With Disability) as many are in hospitals, nursing homes and unfit group housing. Back in 2019, PPA partnered with several SDAs, SIL Providers and Support Co-ordinators Australia-wide to build new accommodation in high Participant (PWD) demand locations to help provide better care and help PWD get back into the community.
PPA build accommodation for all levels of care, both physical and mental disability, including houses, duplexes, villas and small 3, 4, and 6-pack apartment developments based on requests from our SDAs.
Investors purchase these properties prior to construction based on their budget (from $550k to multiple millions) and investment criteria, which is not only a feel-good ethical investment, but extremely high cash flow from approx. 12% to approx. 20% yields with a 20-year NDIS certification managed on their behalf by the SDAs we are building for.
The key to NDIS investment, besides quality and proven designs, floor plans and builds, is the SDAs and their participants – You MUST start with the participants’ needs first!

Help is at hand with Maid2Match and Lawn.com.au
Growing up, Toby, Jason and Alex Schulz, who all co-own and operate Maid2Match and Lawn.com.au, had firsthand experience with disability due to their mum working in special schools.
“From a young age we had an insight into the everyday issues those with a disability and their loved ones faced,” Toby said.
“To now be in a position where we can assist on a significant scale is very special to us.”
When it comes to either garden maintenance or home cleaning, they generally start with a comprehensive clean-up before moving to a regular cleaning or garden maintenance schedule.
Upon setting up recurring service, their team will be there “like clockwork” on the date and time you choose.
As registered NDIS providers, they can help you get the most out of your plan, be it with home cleaning, gardening or both.
Their help is at hand with the Assistance with Daily Life funding, which comes under the Core Supports budget in your NDIS plan.
The link between hearing loss and dementia
By the age of 65, one in three people will have hearing loss. Hearing loss in adults requires greater effort to listen and understand speech. For many people, the onset of hearing loss is insidious, and often they think that others mumble or don’t speak clearly. Studies show hearing loss can be associated with social withdrawal, isolation, depression and anxiety, and is an independent risk factor for dementia.
A Lancet article on preventable causes of dementia, published in 2017, highlighted that hearing loss was the largest of the potentially reversible factors that are responsible for dementia. In fact, hearing loss was a major factor in 9% of dementia. By helping reduce the impact of hearing loss – a with hearing aids and cochlear implants – we may be able to have a flow-on effect and help reduce dementia and improve quality of life.
