Nine new COVID-19 cases recorded in Southern NSW

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded nine new COVID-19 cases overnight, with three located in the Queanbeyan-Palerang LGA.

All three of those cases are in Googong and are contacts of a confirmed case.

There are five cases in the Snowy Monaro LGA with three in Jindabyne and two in Kalkite. All five are linked to known cases.

There is also one new case in Goulburn which is under investigation.

This brings the total number of cases in the SNSWLHD to 574 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan-Palerang (23), Snowy Monaro (8), Goulburn (1), Yass Valley (1) and Eurobodalla (1).

There is currently one person in hospital with the virus.
