A 34-year-old NSW man recorded a positive roadside breath alcohol reading in Symonston on Saturday evening, 22 January.
About 6.10pm, police patrolling Jerrabomberra Avenue, Symonston observed a white Ford Ranger travelling towards Hindmarsh Drive.
Police stopped this vehicle and subjected the driver to a roadside alcohol screening test, he returned a positive reading for alcohol. The man was then taken into custody for breath analysis. At Woden Police Station he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.247.
The man’s right to drive in the ACT was immediately suspended for 90 days, and he will receive a summons to face court for level four drink-driving on a date to be set.
