NSW man charged over indecent assault at nursing home

A 42-year-old man from Frenchs Forest, NSW, will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged over an act of indecency against a 91-year-old woman at a nursing home in Weston.

Police allege that about 12.50pm on Friday 1 May 2020, the man was working as a carer at a nursing home in Weston, ACT.

At this time, another carer observed the man allegedly commit an act of indecency against a 91-year-old patient at the nursing home.

The incident against the woman was immediately escalated to the centre’s management, with the matter reported to police a short time later.

Following a police investigation, which included forensic and DNA testing, the man was charged with one count of indecent assault.

He will face court today, Friday 20 November.
