P-Plater who had licence for 4 days caught going 40km/h over limit

A Canberra P-Plate driver, who had his licence for 4 days, has been suspended, issued 4 demerit points and fined $700.

About 6:15pm Friday 21 January, officers from the Road Policing team detected a vehicle travelling 120 km/h in the 80 km/h zone along Parkes Way, Russell.

The 18-year-old man from Forrest will have a suspended licence for a minimum 3 months.

ACT Policing is continuing to target excessive speeding and urges drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions.
