Pedestrian injured in Goulburn truck crash dies

A 37-year-old male pedestrian has died in hospital in Canberra after a fatal crash on the Hume Highway near Goulburn NSW earlier this month.

About 9.35am on Thursday 15 September, NSW emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, Goulburn, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a truck.

The 37-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being airlifted to Canberra hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the truck was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from the Hume Police District commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

NSW Police were notified yesterday, Thursday 29 September, that the 37-year-old man died in hospital.

A report will be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
