A 38-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 14 June, following his arrest as part of an ongoing investigation by ACT Policing’s Drugs and Organised Crime Team.   Â
On Tuesday 6 June, a 33-year-old man from Phillip was arrested following a traffic stop on the Barton Highway. A search of the man’s vehicle revealed, among other items, five kilograms of methamphetamine, and the man was subsequently charged with drug trafficking.   Â
Acting on information from this arrest, about 10.20am Tuesday 13 June, police executed a search warrant at a business on Collie Street, Fyshwick.    Â
During this warrant, police allegedly located a number of items of evidentiary value, while they also seized a sum of cash and a white Toyota Hilux utility.
The 38-year-old man was subsequently arrested at the location, and has been charged with two counts of trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, and a single count of participating in a criminal group.
