Phillip masseur to face court on sexual assault charges

ACT Policing has arrested a 32-year-old man, who worked as a masseur in Phillip, on two charges of sexual intercourse without consent for alleged separate incidents in February 2020 and last Friday, 15 October.

Detectives from ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations – Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team will allege that the man assaulted the two women while he was providing massage services at a traditional Chinese medicine clinic in Phillip.

The man is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today, Friday 21 October. The maximum penalty for sexual intercourse without consent is 12 years’ imprisonment.
