ACT Policing has confirmed that the human remains found at Point Hut Crossing earlier this month, belong to Timothy Lyons, a 38-year-old man from Gordon who was reported missing.

Currently, Mr Lyons’ death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the Coroner regarding this case.

Mr Lyons went missing on 19 December 2023 and was last seen in Gordon. In February of this year, the police issued another plea for assistance in their investigation into his disappearance.

His body was then discovered in long grass on Sunday, 5 May, by two members of the public who were walking in the area.
