ACT Policing is investigating the death of a 35-year-old male inmate at the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC).   Â
About 11am today, Wednesday 31 July, police and emergency services were called to the AMC following reports of an unconscious man at the location.
Staff from ACT Corrections and ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated the man, however he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
