Police looking for man involved in assault at EPIC

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man allegedly involved in an assault in early February.

On Thursday 10 February at Exhibition Park in Canberra, a 67-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted during an altercation. The woman, who was a worker at a venue inside EPIC, sustained fractures to both her wrists, requiring surgery.

The man police would like to identify is aged in his 30’s, about 190cm tall (6’3”), with dark hair and of a slim build.

The man attended EPIC as part of protests occurring at the time and may have travelled from Victoria.

While investigations into this matter have continued since February, ACT Policing is releasing this information today as the man may again be in Canberra to participate in expected protests.

Anyone who can assist police with the identification of the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.  Please quote 7033287.

If you are the man in the images – ACT Policing urges you to contact police as soon as possible.
