Police seek information regarding Kowen Forest assaults and robberies

ACT Policing is seeking the publicโ€™s assistance to identify a rideshare driver who may have transported several men believed to be involved in an incident at a Kowen Forest dance party.ย

About 2:45am on Sunday 29 September, police and emergency services were called to a dance party being held in the Kowen Forest.ย 

Victims and witnesses indicated a group of men of Pacific Islander appearance attended the party in a silver van and began demanding cash and items of value from partygoers.

Following investigations, police believe there were at least 20 victims who were robbed or assaulted during the incident.

The group of approximately eight alleged offenders fled the scene in a rideshare vehicle, possibly a silver Kia Carnival or similar, before police and emergency services arrived.

Police would like to speak to the rideshare driver who picked up the alleged offenders from the scene and transported them to the Canberra CBD in the early hours of Sunday 29 September.
