Police seek witnesses to attempted aggravated robbery near Phillip Oval

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses, dash-cam and CCTV footage following an attempted aggravated robbery at Phillip Oval yesterday, Sunday 12 December. 

About 10.20am, near the rear carpark at Phillip Oval off Irving Street, two men tried to car-jack a vehicle from a female motorist.

Prior to the incident the offenders were seen playing with and revving a chainsaw at the rear of a white coloured vehicle which had its boot open.

One of the men then approached the female in her car and demanded she get out of it. He got in, however he was unable to operate the car.

A short time later the two males fled in the other white vehicle.
