Police seize three vehicles following burnouts near EPIC

ACT Policing has seized three vehicles and a large crowd in Fyshwick was dispersed overnight.

Three vehicles were seized following burnout activity in areas near Exhibition Park.

ACT Policing has a zero tolerance for anti-social behaviour and hoon driving. Any driver caught speeding excessively, doing burnouts or street racing risks losing their vehicle immediately and faces serious penalties.

Police are urging drivers to enjoy the SummerNats weekend safely and to keep burnouts to the competition area.

In separate police activity, at about 10.40pm last night, 6 January, police responded to a large crowd that had gathered on Canberra Avenue, Fyshwick.

The group was engaged by police on foot and they dispersed soon after. Two people were arrested and charged with breach of the peace.
