Queanbeyan council re-elects Esma Livermore deputy mayor

Cr Esma Livermore has been re-elected as Deputy Mayor of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council.

Cr Livermore will serve as Deputy Mayor until September 2023.

At the end of this twelve-month term, another election will take place to determine who will serve as Deputy Mayor until September 2024.

Cr Livermore was first elected Deputy Mayor at the 12 January 2022 Extraordinary Council Meeting.

Cr Livermore is the first Aboriginal woman ever elected in the Queanbeyan Council (and QPRC) area, having been elected to Council at the most recent NSW local government elections on 4 December 2021.
