Queanbeyan has recorded 65 COVID cases overnight as the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) reported a new high of 203 infections.
It comes after yesterday’s previous high of 159 cases in the district.
Despite the rise in cases, the number of people in hospital has remained at just two, while 165 people are under active care.
There are now 674 active COVID cases in the SNSWLHD with the total number of infections up to 1,316 since the start of the outbreak in June.
The SNSWLHD announced that daily updates will no longer include breakdown by town or suburb.
The Queanbeyan Palerang LGA recorded 65 new COVID-19 cases.
Yass Valley LGA also recorded 39 COVID-19 cases.
Goulburn Mulwaree LGA recorded 36 new cases.
Bega Valley recorded 28 new infections.
Snowy Monaro LGA has 19 new COVID infections.
Upper Lachlan reported 13 new cases.
Eurobodalla LGA has three new cases.
The news comes as NSW recorded 18,278 COVID-19 total cases and the ACT 506.
