Queanbeyan records one new coronavirus case

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded two new coronavirus cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night with one in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region.

The new case in Queanbeyan has not been linked and remains under investigation.

Batemans Bay recorded one new case which is linked to a known case.

The news comes after the SNSWLHD recorded no new cases yesterday.

The total cases in the SNSWLHD is now 391 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have active cases are Queanbeyan-Palerang (136), Goulburn (58), Eurobodalla (24), Yass (1), Bega Valley (8) and the Snowy Monaro region (77).

The number of people in hospital with the virus remains at three.
