Queanbeyan reports 109 COVID cases out of 230 in Southern NSW

Queanbeyan has recorded 109 COVID cases overnight as the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) reported 230 infections.

It comes after yesterday’s 123 cases in the district.

Despite the rise in cases, the number of people in hospital has remained at just two, while 194 people are under active care.

There are now 1,008 active COVID cases in the SNSWLHD with the total number of infections up to 1,669 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The SNSWLHD announced that daily updates will no longer include breakdown by town or suburb.

The Queanbeyan Palerang LGA recorded 109 new COVID-19 cases.

Yass Valley LGA also recorded 45 COVID-19 cases.

Goulburn Mulwaree LGA recorded 30 new cases.

Bega Valley recorded 23 new infections.

Snowy Monaro LGA has 14 new COVID infections.

Upper Lachlan reported 5 new cases.

Eurobodalla LGA has 4 new cases.

The news comes as NSW recorded 20,794 COVID-19 total cases.
