Raiders hooker Tom Starling admits intimidation charge, has two other charges dropped

Canberra Raiders hooker Tom Starling has pleaded guilty to an intimidation charge over an incident after being refused entry to a bar on the NSW Central Coast.

Starling, 24, and his brothers Jackson and Josh were excused from appearing in Gosford Local Court when their matters were mentioned on Thursday.

Tom and Josh Starling both entered guilty pleas to intimidation and had their bail extended until sentence on December 19.

Charges of threatening or causing injury and offensive behaviour were dismissed against the NRL player.

A previous police statement said the Starling brothers were refused entry to the Terrigal bar due to capacity limits.

Police claimed they and another person became agitated and threatened the security manager on several occasions before walking away.

Josh Starling has had three other charges – threatening or causing injury, offensive behaviour and resisting or hindering police – dismissed.

Jackson Starling’s bail was continued for a hearing in July 2023 on two charges of resisting or hindering police and one of offensive behaviour.

In a separate case, the brothers are facing charges after they were allegedly involved in a brawl at a Kincumber restaurant involving up to 50 people, including police officers, the riot squad and security guards in December 2020.
